Designed for those who’ve taken a Foundational Workshop. The Integration Workshop builds on your knowledge after three months of hands-on practice.
2. Birth Skills Training
Join a 3.5-day immersive experience designed to bring you into closer relationship with birth. Explore balance, fascia, and fetal positioning with hands-on guidance.

Who is this certification for?
This program is for nurses, midwives, doulas, and physicians who support physiological birth in any setting. If you believe in aligning with the body’s innate wisdom and want to deepen your understanding of fetal positioning, neurophysiology, and body balancing, this certification is designed for you.
What are the benefits of becoming a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional?
Certified professionals gain access to a global community, receive a certification badge to showcase their skills, and are eligible for a listing on the Spinning Babies® website. Certification highlights your commitment to physiological birth and positions you as a trusted resource in your field. Certified Birth Professionals are invited to join our affiliate program, giving you the opportunity to share valuable Spinning Babies® resources while earning commission.
What are the pathways to certification?
There are two certification pathways. Choose the one that best fits your experience and learning goals:
- Pathway 1: Foundational Workshop + Integration Workshop
Take the Foundational Workshop, wait at least three months to integrate what you’ve learned in practice, then attend the Integration Workshop. After that, complete the Online Certification Modules at your own pace. - Pathway 2: Birth Skills Training
Attend the 3.5-day Birth Skills Training, then complete the Online Certification Modules.
Both pathways lead to the same certification and give you access to the Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional badge, CE webinars, and community support.
How do I enroll in the program?
Start by choosing one of the two certification pathways:
- Foundational + Integration Workshop Pathway
Already attended a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop? After at least three months of hands-on integration, register for the Integration Workshop, then complete the Online Certification Modules.

Join a 3.5-day immersive Birth Skills Training where you’ll explore fascia, balance, and fetal positioning in action. Then complete the Online Certification Modules to finalize your certification.

How long does it take to complete the certification?
The certification timeline depends on your chosen pathway:
- The Foundational + Integration Workshop Pathway typically takes 3–6 months, including a required three-month integration period between workshops.
- The Birth Skills Training Pathway includes a 3.5-day in-person immersive training, followed by the online component.
- The Online Certification Modules are self-paced, and most professionals complete them in 1–3 months. You’ll have up to 12 months of access from the date of enrollment.
How long do I have to complete the online modules?
You’ll have 12 months to complete your online modules and post-training assessment after finishing either the Integration Workshop or Birth Skills training. Many finish within 1–3 months.
What happens after I finish the certification?
Once you complete your certification, you’ll receive a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional badge to showcase your expertise. You may also qualify for a listing in our online directory so families and collaborators can easily find you.
As part of our certified community, you’ll gain exclusive access to quarterly CE webinars for continued learning and receive invitations to connect with our global network of professionals. Your certification is more than a title—it’s an ongoing relationship with a community transforming birth around the world.
Does this certification include continuing education (CE) credits?
Yes! You’ll earn CE credits through our accredited workshops, and certified professionals can earn additional CE credits by attending quarterly webinars.
How do I maintain my certification?
To maintain certification, you must attend (or watch the recordings of) at least 6 out of 8 quarterly webinars within your certification cycle. This helps you stay connected and continually grow your skills.
Will I have access to ongoing learning resources?
Yes! Certified professionals are invited to quarterly live webinars, offered continuing education opportunities, and stay connected through email updates, community events, and ongoing support.
How does this certification benefit independent birth workers?
As an independent birth professional, you’ll receive a listing in the Spinning Babies® online directory to help potential clients find you. The badge and credential also help communicate your specialized skills and evidence-based approach to care.
How does this certification benefit hospital-based professionals?
This credential demonstrates your hospital’s commitment to physiology-first care. It also enhances your reputation as a trusted resource among your team and the families you serve.
Can I use the Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional badge in my marketing?
Yes! Once certified, you’ll receive a digital badge to showcase on your website, social media, and materials. It highlights your advanced training in physiological birth and sets you apart in your field.
What if I don’t pass the post-training assessment?
You’re not alone – we’re here to support you. If you don’t pass the assessment on your first try, you’ll receive feedback to help guide your review. You’re welcome to retake the assessment whenever you feel ready. There’s no penalty, just continued support as you deepen your understanding and move toward certification. |
