Welcome to Spinning Babies® Integration Workshop
Designed exclusively for birth professionals who have completed a Foundational Workshop, this one-day (two-days in select locations) Spinning Babies® Integration Workshop begins with a review of the Spinning Babies® paradigm, builds upon previous understanding and expands your knowledge:
- Refine your use of The Three BalancesSM
- A deeper look at the anatomy of birth
- Extensive discussion and practical adoption of the Pelvic Levels SolutionsSM
- Describe signs and symptoms of anatomical imbalances that affect pregnancy and labor
- Comprehensive birth case studies
- Respond to common barriers to integrating Spinning Babies® into practice: epidurals, second stage, communication skills, and more!
Prerequisite: Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop at least 3 months prior to attending the Integration Workshop.
After completing this workshop you will:
- Confidently assess the question, "Where's Baby?" with a deeper understanding of all pelvic levels
- Apply effective protocols to support physiological solutions and refine your Spinning Babies® skills
- Foster community with other physiology-first birth workers
- Approach challenges with competence using physiological birth practices to improve outcomes
- Earn 7 Continuing Education (CE) credits through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Be a guiding light for your community by demonstrating physiology-first practice
- Qualify to become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional by successfully completing the required online modules and certification fee, and be recognized as a leader in physiological birth

This training is perfect for you if you:
- Are a midwife, physician, nurse or doula. We welcome all professionals who serve people in their pregnancy and birth
- Have already attended a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop
- Long to improve outcomes for families in your community/facility
- Want to deepen your understanding of anatomy, physiology, and support babies in finding Their optimal fetal position
- Crave a Personal connection with your own physiology, all through the lens of the Spinning Babies® approach
By the end of this training, you’ll be equipped to combine all your Spinning Babies® knowledge into confident physiological birth care.
Detailed learning outcomes:
In just one or two days of in-person, hands-on learning guided by Spinning Babies® Approved Trainers, you'll gain confidence to:
- Demonstrate advanced neurophysiologic labor support techniques to assist in facilitating a vaginal birth, including The Three BalancesSM
- Describe three elements of embodied consent
- List three anatomical imbalances that impact fetal position
- Discuss signs and symptoms of anatomical imbalances
- Demonstrate a position or technique at each of the five levels of the pelvis that improve balance during pregnancy or labor
- Resolve labor dystocias
- Demonstrate practice strategies to support non-separation of baby with birthing parents for the purpose of increasing attachment behaviors
- Develop a plan of implementation in your personal work environment using Spinning Babies®

Once complete, does this mean I am a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional?
Almost! Upon completing the Integration Workshop, you are qualified to apply to become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional. To achieve this status you must complete the online learning and assessments and pay the annual certification fee! Once certified, you will also gain access to:
- Quarterly webinars for ongoing education with CE credits
- A listing on the Spinning Babies® website so new clients can easily find you or verify your experience
- A Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional badge to use in promotion or on your CV to highlight your expertise in physiological birth practices.

The Integration Workshop is for professionals who have completed the Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop and are looking to build on that knowledge with advanced skills and preparation for becoming a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional.
The Integration Workshop is 7 hours total contact time that takes place in one day.
In the Integration Workshop, you will deepen your understanding of key advanced techniques related to fetal positioning, labor support, and pelvic balance. You’ll gain greater confidence in your ability to assess and address common labor challenges using the Spinning Babies® approach. The workshop will build on the foundation of knowledge from the Foundational Workshop, providing hands-on experience with advanced strategies for optimizing fetal positioning, enhancing labor progress, and preventing interventions. Additionally, you’ll refine your skills in guiding laboring parents, balancing intervention with intuition, and ensuring smoother, more comfortable birth experiences. This course will also prepare you for certification, equipping you with the expertise necessary to become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more empowered and confident in your ability to support physiological birth in any setting.
You can refer to yourself as a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional and display your digital badge on all public facing platforms. You will not be permitted to teach other birth professionals Spinning Babies® material.
Yes, the Integration Workshop is designed specifically for those who have completed the Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop. To ensure the best learning experience, we ask that participants complete the Foundational Workshop at least three months prior to attending the Integration Workshop.
The Integration Workshop prepares you for certification, but you will need to complete the full certification process to become a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional. To achieve this status you must complete the online learning and assessments and pay the annual certification fee!
The Foundational Workshop introduces our core principles and techniques, while the Integration Workshop is for those that have been implementing the approach and want to deepen their understanding, discuss challenges they’ve faced in their implementation of the approach and become more confident on what to do when and why.

No. The Integration Workshop is an in-person, hands-on workshop. We believe this work cannot purely be taught online and that hands-on practice under the supervision and guidance of a Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer is essential to connect to our own and others’ physiology.

The Integration Workshop is taught by Spinning Babies® Approved Trainers who are birth professionals highly experienced in the Spinning Babies® approach, trained directly by Gail and have extensive backgrounds in birth work. These trainers are experts in fetal positioning, labor support, and physiological birth practices. They bring a wealth of knowledge from real-world experience, ensuring you receive high-quality, practical instruction that you can immediately apply in your practice.
Both the Integration Workshop and Birth Skills Training are advanced programs for birth professionals. The Integration Workshop is specifically designed for those who have already completed the Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop. In contrast, the Birth Skills Training is a four-day retreat-style course open to all birth professionals who attend births, regardless of prior experience with the Foundational Workshop. Both courses provide in-depth, hands-on learning of the Spinning Babies® approach, with a focus on techniques for labor progression and fetal positioning. Upon completion of either course, participants are able to move forward to the online modules, leading them toward certification as a Spinning Babies® Certified Birth Professional.
