Spinning Babies® Response to the Coronavirus

Public Statement Update on March 18:

As of March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declares COVID-19 to be a pandemic. All countries must aim to stop transmission and prevent the spread of COVID-19, whether they face no cases, sporadic cases, clusters or community transmission.

Spinning Babies® and the Spinning Babies® Approved Trainers have worked quickly with organizers to cancel or postpone workshops in our commitment to do our part to flatten the curve across the world.

We’re well equipped to continue our office and store while working from home.

We will continue to support our community of birth workers and expectant families around the world.

Let’s get started! Our Founder Gail Tully wants to connect with you to offer ways to increase your resilience in pregnancy and birth during this time of social distancing. We have started doing weekly Facebook Live broadcasts on our Facebook page to share ideas for shorter hospital stays, fewer inductions and cesareans, and finding support in virtual community. Hope you can join us!

 

Parent Class Online
We are planning for more personalized online parent classes. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class video can be purchased in our store or through the Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educators who have affiliated with Spinning Babies®.  Look for our link on their website.

Since in-person Spinning Babies® Parent Classes are postponed in many areas we are planning fresh ways to bring education to you in collaboration with our Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educators.

 

Is a Spinning Babies® Workshop Still Happening?
Many March and April Spinning Babies® Workshops are rescheduled or canceled. Some may go ahead as scheduled, given local guidelines. The Approved Trainer teaching the workshop will inform participants of the workshop status, not the Spinning Babies® organization.

Each Approved Trainer is sending out Eventbrite emails to inform their registrants regarding refunds or rescheduling of the workshops.

  • In the case of a cancelled workshop you will be refunded your full registration.
  • In the case of a rescheduled workshop you will be given information about transferring or cancelling your registration.

 

Is an Advanced Training or Other Spinning Babies® Event Still Happening?
In the case of the Aware Practitioner Training, Certified Parent Educator Training and the World Confluence, the Spinning Babies® office (info@spinningbabies.com) is the contact point and they will contact all registrants if there are cancellations or a need to reschedule.

We continue to look ahead and make proactive decisions. It still can happen that decisions to continue or cancel the workshop may be made weeks or just days before the workshop. We are working with our workshop organisers to monitor local restrictions on each workshop date.

 

When a Participant Decides To Cancel
A participant may cancel due to illness, exposure within 14 days of a person confirmed to have COVID-19, flight cancelations or border closings. Check with your travel insurance regarding reimbursement and/or your accountant regarding this business expense.  Refunds and transfers are the decisions and responsibility of the Approved Trainer.

If you want to cancel your workshop registration for a workshop that is still scheduled, the posted cancellation policy still applies. Please contact your Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer for clarification or information. There may be a cancellation fee.

Find your Approved Trainer’s name on your Eventbrite email and email their name “@SpinningBabies.com”, such as TammyRyan@SpinningBabies.com.

Please, continue to check your inbox of the email address you used in registration. Event details will also be updated on the website, Facebook and Eventbrite listing of the workshop as quickly as possible.
