Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners

The following list of bodyworkers and birth workers have completed Spinning Babies® Professional Bodywork Education requirements on our website.

Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners have been trained in a bodywork protocol intended to allow:

  • Comfort in pregnancy
  • Spontaneous change to a more optimal fetal position
  • Less pain and more ease in labor
  • New anatomical space made by reducing tensions and torsion in the fascia

Each practitioner does techniques according to their title, scope of practice, and skills. For instance, a midwife, nurse, or doctor will not have the full range of bodywork knowledge. A bodyworker would not do things that a midwife or medical doctor can with their scope of practice or license. Results occur on an individual basis.

Practitioners on this listing have agreed not to manipulate a baby (push, turn) unless they are a doctor or midwife trained in external cephalic version (ECV).

Biographical Info

Marli Ivers is a Certified Professional Midwife and a Licensed Midwife in the San Diego area. She has been using Spinning Babies as a powerful tool in pregnancy and birth since the beginning of 2015 and is thrilled to offer individual body balancing sessions with Spinning Babies techniques. She also incorporates Spinning Babies into her doula, monatrice and midwifery work as an invaluable tool. Marli is incredibly passionate about providing respectful support and guidance to birthing families throughout their journey of parenthood.
