Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners

The following list of bodyworkers and birth workers have completed Spinning Babies® Professional Bodywork Education requirements on our website.

Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners have been trained in a bodywork protocol intended to allow:

  • Comfort in pregnancy
  • Spontaneous change to a more optimal fetal position
  • Less pain and more ease in labor
  • New anatomical space made by reducing tensions and torsion in the fascia

Each practitioner does techniques according to their title, scope of practice, and skills. For instance, a midwife, nurse, or doctor will not have the full range of bodywork knowledge. A bodyworker would not do things that a midwife or medical doctor can with their scope of practice or license. Results occur on an individual basis.

Practitioners on this listing have agreed not to manipulate a baby (push, turn) unless they are a doctor or midwife trained in external cephalic version (ECV).

Biographical Info

Joanne Dahill is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist ( 1986) and a DONA certified Birth Doula (1999). She has attended over 600 births and provided supportive bodywork therapy to thousands of women during pregnancy, birth and beyond. The overlying theme throughout her professional offerings is one of education and support, encouraging each person to deepen their connection to their own wisdom and create movement toward optimal health and well-being. In order to provide the best care possible to her clients, Joanne has continued to study and refine her skills and gather tools so that her clients are able to find greater comfort and ease during the transitional time of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
