Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners
The following list of bodyworkers and birth workers have completed Spinning Babies® Professional Bodywork Education requirements on our website.
Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioners have been trained in a bodywork protocol intended to allow:
- Comfort in pregnancy
- Spontaneous change to a more optimal fetal position
- Less pain and more ease in labor
- New anatomical space made by reducing tensions and torsion in the fascia
Each practitioner does techniques according to their title, scope of practice, and skills. For instance, a midwife, nurse, or doctor will not have the full range of bodywork knowledge. A bodyworker would not do things that a midwife or medical doctor can with their scope of practice or license. Results occur on an individual basis.
Practitioners on this listing have agreed not to manipulate a baby (push, turn) unless they are a doctor or midwife trained in external cephalic version (ECV).
Spinning Babies® does not assume risk. Decide upon a course of care with your practitioner that you find comfortable and safe.

Dorothy enjoys the experience of working with both first-time parents, parents with more than one child, unmedicated and medicated birth, VBAC, IVF, high risk, premature birth, teen birth, and postpartum depression. She is a firm believer in the value of constantly expanding her knowledge of her craft. She has attended classes in optimal fetal positioning, Spinning Babies, Lamaze technique, The Bradley Method, Alexander technique, Hypnobirthing, and more. Dorothy is a trained massage therapist, Advocate for Daily essentials in prenatal care and a certified childbirth educator. She is passionate about working with pregnant and postpartum women. She sees how rewarding and beneficial massaging can be during/after pregnancy.
