Seattle, WA – Labor and Birth with Spinning Babies® w/ Gail Tully – March 5, 2019
March 5 @ 8:30 am - 5:30 pm PST
Description: Labor and Birth with Spinning Babies® 8-hour workshop includes theory, hands-on techniques, and practice for in labor situations.
This workshop is for L&D nurses, midwives, obstetricians, and family medicine doctors who catch babies. Therefore this version of our workshop is not open to bodyworkers, doulas or paraprofessionals. We invite every birth worker to our Spinning Babies Workshop at another time.
Promote labor progress with static stretch and jiggle techniques to lengthen and balance pelvic ligaments and muscles. Analyze pelvic diameters and birth positions to avoid misdiagnosing CephaloPelvic Disproportion. Achieve higher vaginal birth rates with a better understanding of how to support fetal rotation, engagement, reducing a cervical lip or solving a transverse arrest or lack of descent for persistent posterior presentation.
Speaker: Gail Tully is a midwife (CPM) from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Author of The Belly Mapping Workbook and Resolving Shoulder Dystocia video. Penny Simkin and Ruth Ancheta’s Labor Progress Handbook features Belly Mapping in Chapter 3. Anne Frye’s Holistic Midwifery, Vol 2, cites Gail on shoulder dystocia. See http://www.SpinningBabies.com for more information on Gail Tully and Spinning Babies.
CEUs: Nurse CEUs are being applied for. ACNM has granted approval for this workshop to have .8 CEUS which some organizations count as 8 contact hours. Check your organization.
Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to start of workshop. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the workshop begins.
Cancellation Policy: 100% refund will be given if you need to cancel due to attending a birth. All birth-related cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Gail before the workshop begins. No show, no call: no refund. Reach Gail at email@example.com. Am I certified after this workshop?
No, this is an introduction. Attendance does not give rights or ability to call yourself a Spinning Babies trainer, teacher or practitioner; to teach under the name Spinning Babies, Belly Mapping, or to use our trademarks, phrases, or Gail Tully’s intellectual property. You may teach the techniques to clients, but not the curriculum.
No video recording or photos, in general. If you are also a professional photographer, please ask about pictures. We plan to take a group photo.
