Baby Positions

That's my occiput...Read about head-down fetal positions here. Go to the Breech section to read about head-up babies.

The Belly Mapping how-to article may give you clues to your own baby's position.

Occiput Transverse

ROTOcciput Transverse (OT or OL)

The baby is facing the hip. It's Occiput Lateral in the UK, AUS and NZ. LOT means the baby faces the RIGHT hip because the occiput is towards the left.

"Please explain why it is better for a baby to be positioned LOT (Left Occiput Transverse) as opposed to ROT (Right Occiput Transverse) for birth? What can be done to encourage baby to turn from ROT?"

Donate

Spinning Babies Donators have done it! I just got to pay for the migration! Thank you , thank you all for the donations that say so much for the website! By the end of June we should have a new look as well as better functioning! Yay! I can't wait! Yes, we'll have some work to do afterwards,  we didn't fund the big purse designers, but we did protect the  future of Spinning Babies! Oh, and if you wonder if you should still donate. Please do. There is a monthly bill to maintain a secure, content management hosting service. Thank you so much!
